Only one entry today, and it is late.  I like to have a 2100 (9:00 PM) deadline for myself.  But no big deal, I am usually up much later.  I woke up at 0900 today because my girlfriend managed to call me, so it was a worthy reason to wake up early.  However she had to go around 1000 because her mom came home, so back to sleep I went.  Next thing I know my room is hot as hell and it is 1230.  I love how time passes when you sleep, its just like “Wooooosh!” and there goes a few hours.  After that I got up and did, well, more of the same as yesterday, NOTHING.  I will admit I am getting so sick of doing nothing, I need to be able to see my girlfriend again, and then there might be some good stories to put up too.  So I ate with my parents today, and that was it.  Boring as all hell.  My day to day life is going so slow lately I can’t stand it.  This is just plain starting to piss me off.  It would be great if I woke up tomorrow and met with her parents and then could see her again, that would be a great start to the Christmas season.  But alas, it will probably not happen because I want it too…

Anyways, tomorrow, Black Friday, the most insane shopping day of the year.  I’m sure a few hundred people will be trampled tomorrow.  Others robbed maybe even some stabbings or worse.  I despise this day, not because I work at a store that is hit by it, but because of the concept.  It is simply incomprehensible to be that it is that worth it to get up at 0300 and get in line to shop.  I would much rather just go online and get the same deals without risk of getting trampled or robbed etc.  Seriously people, this day needs to like chill out.  Cyber Monday is almost as ridiculous because websites become incredibly slow and some crash.  Whatever, I think the whole concept of shopping is ridiculous, or maybe I am just lazy.  I do get saving a few bucks though, so I would expect that it will be more popular this year where as money is tighter than usual.

Did you ever wonder why people ask questions that they already know the answers to?  I got extremely irritated by that today.  Asking me what my plans were for tomorrow with my girlfriend, full well knowing that I am currently not allowed to see her.  This blows my mind, but like seriously?  Why even ask?  What is the point of that, I mean if you know the answer, especially to a sensitive question like that, why would you ask?  To irritate and remind someone of something that hurts them?  I don’t know why, but that is just plain stupid to do.  I just don’t get people sometimes…

In other news today I have made progress with the girlfriend’s situation.  I decided I would drop by her mothers house last night.  I did not get a chance to talk to her mom, but I feel that just by stopping by, I made some progress.  Right now, that is most important.  I then text’d her mom and asked when would be more convenient to talk.  That got me the info to give it a few days and she will let me know, her and her husband want to sit down with me at the same time.  This is not much progress, but it is something.  The more something I get the better is seems.  Maybe it was really no progress at all, but it at least makes me feel better about it.

It’s the first day of my Turkey Day break.  I’m pre-writing this because when it gets posted I will most likely still be asleep or something.  Shenanigans is a funny word, but I love it, OD writes about some great shenanigans in his blog, go check him out here.

Lets see, what can I talk about this morning…well I was appointed OD’s campaign manager, he’s running for SGA (that means student government association for all you dummies) Secretary.  I love the reason he’s running though, “for shitz and giggles.”  Yes he spelled it that way too.  So for now we are worried about getting the needed 350 signatures to run.  I have ways to handle that.  After that, he will be running on the principle…”I’m CRAZYYYYY vote for me.”  Oddly enough, at our school that would probably work.  Mass Maritime is an odd place like that, the crazy fuckers out there really just seem to vote for who says the funniest thing.  And as MSG Carter puts it so kindly, if you line up 20 random kids from our school you could pick out one kid and just say “What the f*ck is wrong with him?!”  It’s oh so sad but very true…and very very entertaining.

Uhmmm I don’t know, nothing else really that interesting going on, maybe I’ll toss in a random YouTube video at the end of this…yeah, good idea.  Well I did talk to a friend from high school today who I have not made contact with really in quite some time.  He’s doing well, nothing really of note, as argumentative as always.  Lol, sorry Jon.

Never mentioned this before but I am in AROTC, and I really am learning quite a lot.  It’s a tremendous experience so far, and let’s see where it goes.  It’s the number 1 leadership program in the country!

Now, my goal with this new location of my blog is to start fresh and create engaging content for you, the reader, not counting this post.  This is just in case you are wondering “What the hell is this Walkin’ and Talkin’ shit?”  I know I would be.

Right…so I should probably answer that question…

This blog is the brain child of me, a college student, so expect the ADD.  Maybe even some ADHD (those are the days where there are multiple blog entries).  Honestly I made the original out of boredom in my dorm room.  Now I have kind of developed a passion for it.  I enjoy writing out my thoughts and feeling for other to read, and I like tossing my opinion out there in the open.  So just bear with me if the content jumps every now and then.  Even if this blog doesn’t get a lot of readers, I will enjoy writing this, because it is interesting to see what happens with it.

I have had a girlfriend now for almost eight months.  Wow.  These past eight months have truly been a blur.  They have also been the best months of my life.  Thank you baby.  However recently things have been going wrong, and it is not because we don’t love each other.  It has to do with her parents, more specifically her tyrannical mother.  If there is one thing that gets deep under my skin it is bad parents.  And I’m not talking bad parents that keep their kids sheltered their whole life, I am talking about the kind that their children fear and can not wait to get away from.  For almost eight months now, I have been that relief, on the weekends at least.  Attending school all week long sometimes means long phone conversations when things get bad, but I’m okay with that.  I am her coping device, her other half.  Most recently, there has been a succession of incidents that have lead to us not being able to see each other.

I will start with this past Friday, when everything took a sharp turn in a direction that was not good.  While we were at my house after she got out of school, her mother called, and was not thrilled that they did not know ahead of time she was coming over my place.  Understandable, whose parents don’t want to have an idea of where they are.  Because of this she was grounded and not allowed to see me for the weekend, but during this phone call, her mother threatened to beat the shit out of her, called her stupid, and so on.  This was not the first time I had heard her talk to my girlfriend like that, but this time it was different, because it was more harsh, and did not come at a good time.  There were bad events earlier in the week that I won’t get into.  So I did as her mother wished, and took her home.  One fact I did not mention, she is 17, I am 19.

So that went by, and I saw her at work later that night.  She was scared, I could tell.  People get a look in their eye sometimes, and it just screams fear.  So my brain sprung into action.  Working with the police, I have some resources that I can tap.  So I got on the phone and started getting some advice.  What was determined is a few things, that 17 is a very grey area.  However it was recommended that if she did not feel comfortable once she got home, for any reason, call the police. She lives a town over from me, and that is exactly what happened later that night.  What was supposed to happen was the the police would help her go somewhere else for the night where she would feel safe.  However, what ended up happening was far from that.  It was disastrous.  The police botched the entire situation.  It ended up escalating the entire problem and somehow I because the cause of it all.  Not her mother who had her in fear and refused to accept any fault.  She looked for a way out and found me.

Naturally, I do not like this.  I am a bit egotistical, and when someone challenges me like that, I get agitated and very defensive.  Now, I of course want to retaliate, but at this time it would appear that my best course of action would be to try to get back in their good graces.  This will be difficult, but I have to try.  However that would have played out, I am not sure because at this point, there has been another completely random turn of events to escalate the situation.

Nothing ever comes easy in life.  As I was hoping this situation would be able to blow over this week, a lot to expect.  And things were, seemingly, starting to settle out, and we were going to talk to her dad about her going to live with her grandparents instead.  Her mother and father were never married.  But as of yesterday, I am totally out in the dark.  Her mother has determined that I was only in a relationship with her daughter for sex.  Not only does this bother me, but it hurts.  I would have assumed that after eight months her mother would have got to know me a little better than that.  I would have assumed that she was not that blind, but apparently she was.  Now she also claims that her father and grandparents agree with that.  There is only one way should could have even gotten that idea and that could have been reading a few text messages on my girlfriend phone when she took it away.  But now, this situation just got harder.  However, today, she is going home with her grandparents and eventually going to end up at her fathers.  So we will find out the truth, and if that is the truth, it will be easier to repair with them than it will be with her mother.

Just when you think your life is going all good, it throws you a curve ball that you never saw coming.  Now me and her are ducked down behind a wall taking heavy enemy fire.  We need to find a way to flank and out maneuver a larger enemy force, because if we are to survive, that must be done.  One way is for her to move out, because is MA there is no way for your parents to keep you at home.  They are responsible for you, however the courts will not get involved once you are 17.5 due to the fact that by the time anything happens, you will be closer to 18.  However in order for that to happen she needs a place to go.  That was where her grandparents came in, and now, I do not know what to do.  I am preparing for the worst, something I am not good at.  Because when I get backed into corners I snap, and that will only damage this delicate situation.

Hopefully today will be good news, hopefully she can convince her dad and grandparents otherwise, because if not, I do not know what we will do.  But we must hold for now, and find a way through.

In Mass Effect 2 news, there was some new content today released on the Mass Effect 2 website, very interesting look into another of the new characters you can expect to find.  It seems they have incorporated more sex into the game which I find interesting, however that will certainly be based up past relations in the first game I’m sure, I would like to find out for certain though.  Very interesting decision on their part though.  None the less, I’m sure it will still be packed to the brim with action and all that we expect based on the first Mass Effect.  BioWare does amazing work with their games and really only hire people that have a passion for what they are doing.  Kudos for them to do what it takes in these tough times to make a truly remarkable product, and set the industry standard at the same time.

Another product by BioWare had a large announcement yesterday!  They have opened signups for testing, however keep in mind that if you sign up you may not get a chance to test the game, they want a variety of computers and people.  This announcement actually caused their site to crash temporarily while they did a quick fix to allow it to handle the increased load.  And again, tomorrow is Friday so one would assume we will still be getting a Friday update, lets hope we do.  That was pretty much all the news from SW ToR so far this week, but it was a big announcement so…Enjoy!  Oh, and keep in mind this in no way means that they are near release, there will most likely be months of testing maybe even a year to ensure a high quality product.

This is what happens when college students get bored in their classes…however this idea came from a friend, not me, I just came up with the names of the days.  This doesn’t reflect my drinking habits at all, I’m a very casual drinker…I swear…

I just bought the Limited Collectors Edition a few minutes ago and well, so far not great.  As I read and kind of expected, NCsoft did not expect the load on their new servers that they got, and that includes the download server.  I am at 0% and downloading at 23 KB/s.  Not good.  However I am willing to wait.

If you are looking to get the game, be warned, you are better off to buy it on disk, not digital download.  Or get the download from STEAM or somewhere else.  Either way, based on everything I’ve read I would say it is worth a second look, and I am very willing to wait to download it to play.

With this newfound desire to write my blog, I have felt the need to update it as well.  There are not too many exciting changes, but there were a few, some new gadgets as well as a new theme.  I plan on regularly posting here now and the topics? Whatever I feel like writing about at the time…I swear, I’ll actually post this time…maybe…just maybe, daily!
